CORPORATE STATUS
MMBA is a non-profit corporation which is established as a Directorship Organization. This means that the Board of Directors is the sole governing body of the organization. The Board of Directors is comprised of volunteer members representing various medical billing specialities around the state. Neither directors nor officers receive compensation for their services.
MMBA IS A NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION
MMBA is not a political organization. MMBA was incorporated under Section 501c(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. This means that we are an educational entity. For that reason, it is unlawful for us to engage in political activities such as lobbying, passing petitions, etc.
